When this happens, it is called Oxidation which occurs naturally in supplements over time as they are exposed to air. However, oxidation does not reduce or alter the effectiveness of the supplement ingredients or the overall viability of the product.
Many factors can contribute to oxidation including storage conditions. We typically recommend keeping supplements stored in their original containers; storing them in a cool dry place away from heat, light, air, and moisture.
